I'll make our own end effectors for a pallet pool and a tool pool. I want to robotize the machine, using general purpose robots rather than theirs.
Plus I'll have to retool, my current SK40 tooling is almost brand new. So if I choose a HSK63, and a 60 tool mag, it will end up being 5k more. Tool mag: standard is 30 tools, but 60 tools is 11K more! and if one has an HSK63 spindle, around 13K more. More power and speed may be good but this is not a beastly machine and I don't need that kind of grunt. My current machine has a 8k belt driven spindle with 13kw (40% duty cycle) motor, and I've been satisfied by its capability to cut steel and aluminum (7075). The HSK63 will cost Eur 2060 extra and SK40 big plus Eur 9130 extra, so no big plus for us. Spindle: The standard spindle sold is 15k speedmaster electro-spindle with 21Kw of 40% duty cycle, with SK40 tool holder. Perhaps they want to support their local businesses (:-() The base price in italy is a bit more than in Germany. In the US, they may have lower prices, I don't know, but this is what we're dealing with.
The DMU 50 will run around 230k with the stuff below and CMX 1100v + Tsudakoma around 200+ k. Ok, so the DMGMORI sales rep came last evening and we had our offer for the two options that I was interested in.
